From Chennai Airport, take the Airport Metro up to Guindy Metro Station. Opposite Guindy Metro Station, regular buses to Pondicherry University are available every 15-20 Minutes.

BY TRAIN:

·     The Pondicherry (PDY) is well connected by Trains from major cities. 

·     The Chennai railway station is also another travel route for Pondicherry. Take Metro from Chennai Railway station

to Guindy Metro. Every 15-10 Minutes Bus is available from Guindy Metro.

·     The Villupuram Junction (VM) is the nearest railway station having approximately 40 KM distance from

Pondicherry, which is well-connected to all major cities. The approximate travel time from Villupuram

Junction to Pondicherry is one hour by TAXI CAB/ Buses. There are frequent buses from Villupuram Railway

station to Pondicherry.

BY ROAD:

The distance from Chennai to Pondicherry is approximately 135 KM via East Coast Road (ECR). The approximate travel times from Chennai to Pondicherry is 2 Hours by TAXI CAB and 2½   hours by Government/Private Buses. For every 15 to 20 minutes buses are available for Pondicherry from Chennai Bus stand/Guindy Merto Station and then get down to Pondicherry University Gate-2.
